Best vet in the county. Down home staff, especially Dr. Scott, who saved our pooch "Squishy" after she was ripped up by a neighbor's dog pack. Her neck, chest and belly were ripped - effectively skinned - from her body. I almost put her down on the spot, just looking at the horrifying mess. Took her in as an emergency case on Saturday afternoon, and Dr. Scott was able to calm her and stitch her up completely. Have also used them for more routine work on other dogs and goats (dehorning)
After having taken our pets to different vets that were closer to our home that seemed like all they cared about was making money rather than caring for our fur-babies, it was such a relief to find Deason. Our dog Juno was instantly comfortable and relaxed with the staff and they seemed to really care about her. She underwent a hysterectomy/gastropexy surgery, which is a rarer procedure, but Dr. Deason made us feel comfortable and at ease about the whole procedure. What's really amazing is that he went above and beyond when Juno tore one of her internal sutures, repairing the damage at no additional charge besides the added medication!!! I can't say how grateful we are and Juno is now healed up beautifully, and happy and healthy again. We will continue to make the longer drive bc they are the best vets in the area in our opinion!!! They are also very reasonably priced.
I lost my girl there tonight. The staff was incredible. They met me after hours and didn’t charge me a million dollars. They were very kind and gentle with my dog. I highly recommend this clinic to everyone. Thanks y’all.
We use Deason for our dog's vaccine and urgent care needs, as the vet who is most familiar with our dog's breed is far away. I love Deason, though! They have convenient hours and reasonable prices for the minor services we have received. There are many doctors on staff so getting an appointment has never been an issue. All of the doctors we have been seen by are young but enthusiastic and competent. Dr Gilmore is awesome, he takes time to ask how things are going even if he is just giving a vaccine, and I can tell he really cares. They don't allow prescriptions to be filled outside of their office, but when you think about how hard it is to pay the bills and make a living in veterinary medicine, I get it!
